Hollywood, Yesterday

Fusing street art with war propaganda and 18th century anatomical plates, this imposingly scaled piece presents a nightmarish vision of a future draped in the fiery spectacle of Old Hollywood. It was created by hand through a unique process of digital painting, employing "brushes" created by a neural network trained on Los Angeles graffiti, archival skyline shots, and other pieces of visual detritus taken from the graveyard of film.
