High Voltage

I had planned a morning of landscape photography but whilst on location I noticed this unfortunate crow who had ended up tangled in wire at the base of an electricity pylon. A bleak subject but fascinating all the same. I spent a good hour here trying different compositions until I was happy. The skeletal talons have a macabre feel but also convey how fragile the bird was. Sometimes it's more about the details rather than the wide landscape.
