Hidden Masquerade

Meeting within the flower filled courtyard on the night of the summer’s masquerade, a couple danced together away from the large crowds.

A woman stared into the eyes of a masked figure with such passion as if she knew all the secrets within this unidentifiable beings mind. Then she leaned in and kisses the masked figure goodbye after making plans to meet again.

Jealousy some might have when looking at the connection between these two, none the wiser to see that she too was not sure of who truly was hidden behind the mask

“The eyes can tell many stories” she thought to herself walking away from the masked figure. “But a kiss can unveil those who keep secrets behind their lips.”
