I paused by the quiet pond blanketed in lily leaves. The water’s surface—layered in green and touched by subtle signs of decay and passing life—invites a gentle silence. The colors are muted yet alive—aged browns, deep greens, and a faint, shy reflection of the sky. Nothing here seeks attention. Everything simply exists as it is meant to.
To capture this frame, I used a DSLR with a 35mm lens at f/6.3, preserving the natural texture of the leaves and the soft ripples on the water. The daylight, diffused through scattered clouds, cast a tender light over the scene—imbuing the image with a quiet suspension in time.
This photograph is the result of seeing, not just looking—a moment of attention to small details, traces of nature, and untold stories flowing in stillness.
