This render is part of a series of abstract works I created using a funky little program called "Structure Synth" in the '10s. I hated polygon modeling in Lightwave so much that I used just about any other program I could to create my meshes.
Structure Synth uses procedural tools and primitives to create any number of amazing geometric structures. Everything in this scene is actually created out of cube primitives. Once I created the model I then used Lightwave3D to texture, light and render them as interesting wallpapers.
My Structure Synth experiments were more successful with inorganic looking objects so I tended to stick with metallic surfaces. In this case I chose to light everything from behind with a bit of demonic fire.
