Her Freedom
Too fat. Too thin. Too shy. Too loud. Too ambitious. Too modest. Too sexy. Too uptight. Too adventurous. Too afraid. Too young. Too old. Too much. Not enough. …………………………………………………………….. “You don’t have a clue.” “You will not be successful.” “At your age, you should think about getting married.” “Do you even know what being a real woman is?” …………………………………………………………….. Her freedom is found when she screams at the top of her lungs on a mountain. Her freedom is found in what she decides to do – or not do – with her body. Her freedom is found in the way she chooses to love. Her freedom is found in the dreams she fights for. Her freedom is found in the art she creates. Her freedom is found in the courage with which she moves through this difficult world. Her freedom…. is somewhere where no one can take it away: within. ……………………………………………………………..
