Every modern animal has an ancestor that lived a million years ago. When scientists from the University of Kent discovered such an ancestor in a hen, they were shocked, it turned out to be a dinosaur. Dinosaurs were at the top of the food chain, but they became extinct, and the hen continues to exist as a species.
