Hellena extracting some answers

Illustration and inking done via traditional art, pencil and brush. This one was a bit tricky in that it relies on intricate details and trying to convey a bit of a story in once scene. Fortunately that's something I'm usually pretty good at, and I'd say this turned out well. Don't often get to do a battle scene or a warrior type character, so this was fun!

Axe of Hellena, is a series by Fat Cat Funnies from the mind Ian Chase Nichols, about the adventures of a female warrior making her way through a fantastic and dangerous world. It's top notch stuff and when he tasked me with doing a pin up for an issue, I jumped at the chance.
