Happiness in Concentration 2

It’s been such a lovely experience collaborating on Revolutionary Happiness with @Dahleea

The pieces have evolved over time and our back and forth conversation has yielded some new work that, like every other collaborator, has taken the artist- Dahleea’s, unique path to making something interesting and rewarding to look at that’s originated from, but is so very different to my original artwork.

These 3 new pieces are unique in the artists decision to focus in on one part of the Revolutionary Happiness triptych and give it 3 different treatments that seem to evolve, one form the other. This technique has explored the characteristics of a particular section of the triptych, enhancing the tones and bringing new textures to an otherwise ‘flat’ work.

The distractions of colour became extraneous as the details and forms took on a quality that seemed best suited to monochrome. The original forms can clearly be seen yet the classic black and white allows for light and shade to be emphasised falling across the texture of all 3 pieces.

In creating Happiness in Concentration, Dahleea has taken full advantage of digital technology to create art that is beautiful and timeless, an Art that is based on the project of sharing our own idea of what beauty is whilst encouraging and respecting others endeavours in creating their own versions.

My collaboration with @dahleea is the penultimate minting for the Revolutionary Happiness project.
