Halcyon Dreams

When I was 8 years old and discovered the Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time, I was instantly transported to this ethereal space- where my art journey began.

I had been drawing, but now I had a vision- a story and a character that from the corners of my mind crawled out of this white mist, pastel colors dancing like diamonds in the water. And from that moment on, this imaginary world became my escape.

Aurora has been my oldest original character, and though the first inspirations came from the Fairy Fountain and the ethereal, robust characters that inhabited them, she took on a life of her own, with her own world and inhabitants, populated with species and plants that had never existed before. I was able to express myself in ways where words failed me.

Going back to my roots seemed to be appropriate for a Genesis piece, working with pastel colors again has been a refreshing break from my usual styles. Thank you for your support, and I hope you enjoy the story, and stories to come.
