Lapeng, in Sesotho meaning "home", is a composite series by Hekate. This personal tale is a digital composition collection following juxtaposed themes of darkness, pain, beauty and serenity. It explores my roots & my leaneage.
As you'll notice in the art: ive depicted feelings of comfort, adventure, joy, nurture etc. Although at the deepest core, Ancestral Trauma has plagued my soul, and I have been the unfortunate victim of generational wounds. I share with you my trips to the underworld; I share my pains and aches with you as I try to bloom into a survivor of dark familial narcissistic abuse.
