Guiding Star
May your heart be your guiding Star! Paper sculpture, photography, digital illustration.
I created the heart from recycled paper, colored it with the Blackest Black in the World 2.0 acrylic paint, gold foiled it. It's a part of my physical paper sculpture collection Heart is Lava, telling the story of healing and transformation.
For this work, I took a WIP photo of the heart sculpture during gold foiling process and a photo of my friend's hand I shot with Fujifilm X100V. In Procreate, I united them in unique blend of my different art techniques to express the idea that our hearts, however wounded, always have the inner power to heal and lead ourselves through life and inspire the people around us.
