This woman seemed sad. She had a vacant look in her eyes, as if rather than looking at what was in front of her, she was watching a movie montage in her mind of all of her worries and sorrows. She reminded me of myself.

This series began as ordinary compulsive doodling of some of the faces I came across at my restaurant job. It has now become a full collection - some of these people I know quite well, some not at all. I like to think that I'm connected to each one of them in a way and I hope the collection touches someone.
