Great Day

media: pen&ink; acrylic paint; digital manipulation; 1920 x 1080px The 100 Day Project Series: Day 22: Lines Lines Everywhere Today I started off considering lines in hands, and started off thinking about drawing a very lined, wrinkly hand. However while choosing a position for the hand, I considered how hand gestures can convey so much meaning either clarifying or contradicting our spoken words. Crossed fingers can be hopeful, so without the crossed fingers the statement is just that, an assertion of today's greatness, but with the crossing fingers it is a statement of hope that today will be great. I then decided to experiment with the concept of line art and lined typography rather than creating a more realistic hand with wrinkly lines.
