Boquete Series

The project is defined by the urgency of “la brega” in the island of Puerto Rico. Referencing the podcast La Brega: historias de la experiencia Boricua, Boquete mirrors the hardships of living in a colony. With a sense of humor, Santos extracts organic and rough forms from the extensive imagery of her documentation of constant potholes.
