The site of herdsmen from the Fulani tribe in Nigeria is met with a deep sigh of displeasure lately. This being because of the reports of terrors and killings of scores of farmers, locals and travelers across the country by Killer-Herdsmen. Although these facts are true and should be properly addressed, I believe there are quite a number of good ones amongst the group who do not partake in these acts.
I met this herder on a hike along the popular Usman Dam in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city and was immediately drawn by his cheerfulness. He had this dreamy look with a lamb leaning over his shoulder, and I couldn't resist asking if I could take a picture of him.
Then I wondered if he's one of the good ones, a Good Herder?
