This work participated in a competition called "Life’s Form: From Carbon to Silicon" For this work I was just inspired by the different "life forms" of elements like carbon and silicon. I wanted to show their beauty through the image of this girl, Siselia. Her dress is black and shines like silicon carbide, the crown in the form of chip lines reminds of the use of silicon as semiconductors, the white elements in the work remind of quartz. The steel structures in the background have carbon and silicon in their composition. Diamond, a form of carbon, was the cocoon of a butterfly that shattered into small fragments, giving new life. No philosophy, there just had to be a description.
