ghostshoes makes a splash

Journal Entry: August 2021

Little did I know when I hovered onto that empty bus outside La Plata that I'd end up in a tiny town somewhere several hours north. Poor driver - I know I gave him a terrible fright, appearing like that in his mirror. Ah well, what's a traveling spirit to do?

Since then, I've been enjoying the amenities at the local hotel. Mostly the pool. It's the off-season and the rooms are mostly empty, save for a woman who refuses to acknowledge me when I pass by and a few American tourists, who are usually too drunk to notice me. One even tossed a towel on my head from the balcony and didn't issue a proper apology! The hotel owner seems to be writing a sort of fanciful novel about me. I hope he's getting the details right. I hope someone will bring me some flippers for this pool.
