As the technology of generating images by AI is becoming more and more mature, there seem to be only two situations left in generative art: Through programming to influence the logic of the machine, or hand over the creative consciousness to the machine.
Then, through constant negotiating with the machine, taking back part of the creativity, can it be called the Renaissance of Generative Art?
The “Genesis” series uses images from Pixray to generate websites, constantly modifying character string to negotiate with the machine and not using any instructions or syntax, to generate images that meet expectations,
In addition to the name of the piece pointing to generative art, it also links to Michelangelo’s "Genesis", to talk about the creative possibilities of working with machines, thinking about the "humanistic" spirit under the condition of giving up programming but not giving up the consciousness of image creation.
There are nine pieces in the series: “Separation of Light from Darkness”, ” Creation of the Sun. Moon. and Plants”, ” Separation of the Earth from the Waters”, ” Creation of Adam”, “Creation of Eve”, “The Fall and Expulsion from Garden of Eden”, “Drunkenness of Noah”, “The Deluge”, “Sacrifice of Noah”.
