GARUDA

Garuda is one of the figures in the Legong Keraton dance. The Legong Keraton dance, based on the Panji story, tells of the journey of Prabu (adipati) Lasem who wants to propose to the daughter of the Daha kingdom (Kediri), namely Princess Rangkesari who is already tied up with Raden Panji from Kahuripan. It is said that the princess refused Prabu Lasem's proposal, because she was refused, she ended up committing a disgraceful act by kidnapping the princess, knowing that the king of Daha (Kediri) declared war on Prabu Lasem. Prabu Lasem was also attacked by a deadly eagle, although he managed to escape from the garuda's attack, he was eventually killed during the battle against the king of Daha.
