New York City is considered to be a city of immigrants. The government states that in this city, nearly 40% of the population is from outside the USA. Some others might have been born of at least one immigrant parent. They all came from many places. Some are from Islamic countries such as Turkey, Bangladesh, Syria, Pakistan, Egypt, Morocco, and so on. As a Moslem immigrant in the US, life would be full of struggle. They cannot apply for an office job unless they have the necessary paperwork. So, for most of them, selling things is their daily job. Because of this situation, we might find many halal foods in New York, from street vendors to proper restaurants.
