THIS IS A CHARITY ARTWORK : We found Zoro abandoned and confused. We picked him up and had him examined and looked after and started looking for a forever home where he would be appreciated this time. While he was waiting for his future family he started showing symptoms of what is known as FIP. He had a fever and we witnessed clouding on one eye. We had him examined by an optometrist vet and he suggested that we have two PCR tests done; one for FIP and one for toxoplasmosis. The FIP PCR was positive. But we didn’t stop there. Later we did a thorough blood work and a sonogram and a toxoplasmosis PCR. His Toxo PCR result turned out negative. Long story short we had to face it. He has FIP. He has started showing great n fast improvements after his first daily injections. But we need help to continue. He has to get subcutaneous Remdesivir injections for 84 days. He needs to eat veterinary advised kidney care diet and liver supplements. He needs regular blood work and sonograms done up until his full recovery.
All the documents can be available for everyone to see.
He is a gentle, friendly, and loving male cat with a black mark on his eye which makes him look like a pirate. He will be someone’s loved pet if we can help him recover from this. We need everyone’s help please.
With love, Zoro and his rescuers
