The full moon or full moon is one of the phases of the moon in which the moon is located behind the earth in terms of the sun. "Full moon" comes from Sanskrit: pūrṇimā. Since one phase of the moon is 29.5 days long, a full moon usually occurs between the 14th and 15th days of the lunar calendar.
