Morning, February 24. I woke up to a strange sound. Explosion? But no, apparently, it seemed. In an hour or half an hour - again. Russia has launched a full-scale war throughout Ukraine.
russia has brazenly and vilely invaded my strong, independent Ukraine. A country whose name Ukrainians will never capitalize. She invaded, hiding behind good intentions, posing as heroes defending herself from the Nazis and promising "salvation" that no one asked for. The same salvation as in 2014.
Today is the 16th day of a full-scale war. russia vs Ukraine. Ukrainian villages are wiped off the face of the earth. Ukrainian cities are on fire, in ruins. Residential buildings, kindergartens, schools, hospitals, central squares, railway stations, evacuation buses and civilian cars are viciously blown up and shot. People are dying. Children are dying - are they considered Nazis? Will there be forgiveness after that? Never.
Today is the 16th day of mental pain, the 16th day of losses. This day, like all previous ones, begins with a message to your loved one: "How are you?".
Today is the 16th day of pride for our Ukraine. Pride for the Ukrainian people. Pride for the powerful Ukrainian army, volunteers and volunteers. Pride for the Ukrainian President. Proud to be Ukrainian.
