Are your friends really friends with you for friendship's sake? Or are they friends with you because of the benefits? This piece portrays two friends who aren't sure if they are friends without benefits. The work is inspired by the way I began to look at my own friends and wondered if we were friends without benefits or if the benefits were the only reason why we were friends at all. Friends without benefits are the best of friends because friendship shouldn't be a means to an end. It’s not about how much you help each other, what you stand to gain, or if there are any benefits. It’s about being there for each other even when it doesn’t make sense. Such friendship is rare, and worth so much more than any benefit could ever be.
