Don’t be scared off by this “experimental” work. While this may very well turn into something deemed “final”, this is a concrete milestone in that process. Not only is this a critical phase in this piece’s journey, it is also a foundation layer of the greater collection and direction.

This piece blends AI, glitch, programmatic texturing, and good old fashioned, handworked drawing.

As usual I am leveraging the characteristics of age-old printing techniques as a backdrop to something more contemporary and modern. It’s a nod to the old overlapping with the new, the manual and physical versus algorithmic and digital.

We are all in a state of transition from old to new, what we want to shed to what we want to become. We are all a work in progress and this is a representation of that journey.
