Fluid Honor

Honor is earned, passed down from father to son and earned in battle. The Honor of the Samurai is fluid in that it can freely flow through bloodlines as long as the next receptacle of esteemed heritage can uphold and fulfill that which is required of them to keep the Honor of their family pure. Upon death, honor is like water filling a void until it overflows traveling to the next worthy receptacle down the line where their barriers and walls are tested to the maximum until it is time to let it overflow to the next.
