“flovVRs” is a semi-abstract still life of flowers, hand-drawn in VR and saved as a seamlessly looping animated GIF, with a 16 colours dithered palette.
The subject for this artwork was simple still life of flowers. The mesmerising motion of an infinitely animating GIF captures an ephemeral moment of one second.
Drawn in VR with expressive low-polygon strokes and left monochromatic, it gives a feeling of a pointillist painting or a clay relief, with graffiti-like ornamental frame it might even remind Art Nouveau aesthetic. As a result, “flovVRs” transformed into an almost abstract glitchy synthetic representation, derived from the imperfect nature of organic life.
