I remember feeling the cool breeze fresh off Lake Michigan sting my damp sweaty face as I poked my head out of the hatch. My legs felt unstable, and my nuts have been chafing since floor 55. My close friend was holding the hatch open and with a smile he couldn't hold back, he shouted "welcome back boys!"
It was daybreak. I dropped my camera bag and stripped off my sweat soaked shirt draping it over the window washing tracks. We all watched in awe as a low cloud rolled through Sears tower and the city began to wake.
I glanced at the expressions on my friends' faces. Everyone had a child-like glare, like there was no such thing as 'dreaming too big' because everything was possible. We were seeing the world through curious eyes and finding inspiration in everything. Instead of worrying about careers and bills, we spent the morning living in the moment, seeking out happiness and joy. This photo is a constant reminder to live in the moment.
A morning spent 1200 feet above Chicago.
