First Strike

First Strike is a piece that combines photography and visual manipulation to realize my vision. I've always imagined this scene of the Three Mittens at Monument Valley at night being lit by a lightning strike. The cool blue hues of the night time combined with the vibrant reds and oranges of the valley provided the visual drama and contrast to the scene.
