[Unwritten song by Bob Dylan]
In the flicker of flames, the world does dance, A symphony of chaos, a wild, wild trance. Fire walk with me, through the night's embrace, In the ashes of ruin, we'll find our grace.
Fire, oh fire, what secrets you keep, In your crackling whispers, in your restless sleep. You devour the earth with your hungry maw, Leaving behind only ashes and straw.
You dance on rooftops, you leap through the air, You care not for mercy, you heed not our prayer. In your fiery embrace, all things must fall, Buildings and bridges, great cities and all.
Yet amidst the destruction, a beauty does lie, In the dance of the flames, in the smoke-filled sky. For out of the ashes, new life shall rise, A phoenix reborn, with hope in her eyes.
So let the fire rage, let it burn bright, For out of the darkness, comes dawn's first light. And though destruction may come, and chaos may reign, In the ashes, we'll find beauty again.
