Fire of Creation

Illustration inspired by the Orion Nebula

This artwork is inspired by the Orion Nebula, captured by NASA’s WISE. For me, it represents the “fire of creation,” where new stars ignite within clouds of dust and gas as a cosmic reflection of life itself, constantly emerging and evolving.

The Maya saw Orion’s lower part as the hearthstones of creation, with the nebula at its center as a cosmic flame. My illustration brings this metaphor to life, showing the vibrant colors and energy of stellar birth.

Creation, like the stars, is eternal. The act of bringing something new into being is immortal, and the process of creation itself never ends.
