Everday Nightmares No. 1

Tired from a late night workout, she was unaware of anything untoward as she picked out a drink. The truly monstrous beings seem to hide in wait for these moments. Watching patiently from shadows for our guards to drop. She did not know that the moments she spent looking at a protein shake would be her last in this world. Isn’t that how it goes though? One moment a person is reading the contents of a sports drink, and the next they’re gone.
