endless dock

We told stories here, at the endless dock.

Stories of adventures yet taken.

We sold dreams here, at the endless dock.

Dreams we never bought.

We danced on top of hope, at the endless dock.

Hope that put an end to the music.

I now find myself back here,

Giving voice to the stories you can't hear, selling dreams to an empty register, and dancing to the still silence of hope.

You set sail long ago. One that has no return.

So often, I wander back to recollect..

At the endless dock.
