Easter Island is a remote island in the South Pacific that is a territory of Chile. The island was believed to be first inhabited between 800 and 1200 BC. It is perhaps best known for its nearly 1000 ancient moai statues, which some believe were erected in order to pay respects to the deceased. The island is a UNESCO world heritage site.
This work tries to capture the mystery and breathtaking nature of the island and its statues with AI. In doing so, we find that the underlying clip models are challenged at discerning the difference between Easter Island and Easter the Christian/Pagan holiday (i.e., the bunny). The result is intended to celebrate these confusions and the fabulous dichotomy in the produced work.
