Earth

The Earth formed around 4.55 billion years ago, from the material from which the rest of the Solar System was made, which was initially a stellar cloud of gases and cosmic dust. The formation of the planet took between 10 and 20 million years, as its surface cooled and the cloud of gases that is today's atmosphere accumulated around it.
