In the dying light I will stare, Asking the Grim Reaper for a spare.
No reaction on his face, I guess he has enough space.
Looking longer in the light, Brighter it becomes, Showing my life drums.
Remembering I will, The body becomes more chill.
The end is near, But I show no fear.
I have lived my age, This is just another page.
Stories in heaven I will tell, Might even hit the pub's bell.
Paying I will not, My wallet I forgot.
Thanks for this life, I will become a guiding Angel, Protecting my Wife.
