Dutch Spring

Spring in the Netherlands can be magical. Not only because of our tulips but we have all kinds of flowers that blossom everywhere. Because of our climate it is often humid during the spring mornings causing a thin layer of fog on the landscape. The combination of the right weather conditions and all the blooming flowers cause fairytale conditions.

As a photographer, I love capturing these fairytale like images. They define my style. Carefully planning weather conditions and being there at the right place during the right time are most important when photographing these images. And yes, in spring you have to wake up early for it, often around 4AM. But it's all worth it. The photo is just the end result of the whole experience of walking in a fairytale.
