a spoonful of sweet obsession
two worlds finding a common tongue
— ABOUT THE WORK
Born from an intercultural encounter in Buenos Aires, 「Dulce de Leche」 is a joyful celebration of sweet obsession, friendship, and shared traditions.
When Japanese artist Cotone visited us in Argentina, she fell deeply in love with our traditional dulce de leche. Driven by her passion for Argentine culture and her Spanish studies, she wrote and performed the lyrics in Spanish.
This track is part of Dúo Dø’s upcoming collaborative mixtape CD, HILOS 糸, which brings together seven tracks created with Japanese artists. The piece features clarinet arrangements by Eddie Pozzi and cover art by artist Nejo Out, who shares a passion for Japanese culture.
「Dulce de Leche」 will be performed live together on September 25th in Tokyo, marking the opening show of Dúo Dø’s Japan Tour 2026.
— ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dúo Dø is an independent music project based between Argentina and Japan.
They create genre-free, in-motion music — blending pop sensibility with academic depth, songwriting with acoustic instruments, and live performance into what they describe as stories turned into songs.
Rooted in Argentine origins and enriched by Japanese influences, their sound weaves together R&B, tango, neo-soul, chacarera, hip-hop, and jazz, creating immersive musical journeys shaped by presence and narrative.
Over the past years, Dúo Dø has performed across Argentina, Japan, Italy, Brazil, France, Spain, and the United States. During their two Japan tours, they played sold-out shows and limited-edition vinyl pressings, strengthening a growing international community.
Approaching music as a living, relational practice, Dúo Dø works between tradition and technology, using blockchain tools to sustain an autonomous artistic path and nurture long-term relationships with collectors and collaborators across cultures.
Alongside their artistic work, they lead masterclasses and participate in art residencies, extending their practice into spaces of cross-cultural dialogue and community-supported creation.
