For ages, humans have ascribed deep meaning to dreams: Omens of ill portent, messages from loved ones lost, Nostradamus-like predictions... My own view is much more practical: Just as we need to exercise our body's muscles to keep them functional, so too do we need to exercise our brain's visualization abilities to keep them sharp during daytime hours.
