Dragon's Back

The climb through several hundred steps of stairway leading to the viewpoint started early. The wind was cold and the trail was steep. As I reached the top I was greeted with the sight of this soft pastel light shining through the early morning fog, outlining the beautiful layers of mountain silhouettes of the Guilin landscape. Forming what looks like the back of a sleeping dragon, I knew then why this picturesque scene has inspired countless tales and artworks by artists for centuries.
