Double Miracle

This was one of the most challenging airplane and fireworks photos I've ever taken. In order to get the fireworks and the plane in one shot without using compositing, the plane had to arrive at the airport and stop just before it entered the ramp. In addition, a double miracle had to happen: the fireworks had to go up beautifully in that direction just as the plane was coming to a stop.

The plane is the flight arriving at Itami Airport, and the fireworks in the background are from the Naniwa Fireworks Festival, the largest of its kind in Kansai.
