Decoding Maternal Knots
Typeface contributes to the visual representation of language. Different typefaces convey distinct characteristics & uniqueness. Mother’s love, on the other hand, is like a universal language. It even becoming a universal archetype that widely known and felt.
The artwork inspired from my mother’s language of love: flowers. She loves flowers and loves to arrange them. Just as the relationship with a mother may have its complexities, the gentle touch of maternal love weaves through the messiness, transforming every aspect into a harmonious beautiful piece.
In this work, I try to convey the essence of a universal language – a mother’s love. Much like the varied style of typefaces, maternal affection takes on unique forms, each expressing its individuality. Yet, just like the unity typeface, all maternal love shares a common purpose. Digital Drawing
