Decay refers to processes of breaking down and can be applied throughout a wide range of disciplines. In biology, decay refers to the decomposition of organic matter. It can also be applied to to technology with the degradation of data or software. Memories can decay with conditions like Alzheimer’s and in Sociology, cities and societies fall apart given a long enough time frame. This piece is a visual representation of these related concepts.
