When do I see a photograph, when a reflection?

My photography is a search for clarity, for knowledge, for connection with my inner world. Self-portraiture is an instinctive and mysterious gesture, like a ritual that manifests itself once it is concluded. In the end I know, in the end I understand.
Is an atonement. In recent months I have often felt a vague and persistent desire for death. It was there, constant, oppressive. An extreme form of confusion and sadness.

Now I have made it flesh, image, art.
