Gilda was a sweet girl born under the name of Myriam in a quiet town called Villa Paranacito. Gilda worked as a kindergarten teacher before her fame skyrocketed into the Tropical Scene. Gilda was a singer, dancer, and performer. And the soul inside her soft Cumbia music spoke right to people's hearts. The day of her tragic death, crowds gathered spontaneously on Ruta de la Muerte and created an altar in her name. It keeps receiving offerings 25 years later.
