DEAF FRUSTRATION

DEAF FRUSTRATION is part of one of my newest collections called Voices of Injustice. This series has pieces that raise awareness around refugees who are displaced. But this particular piece stems from my close association with the deaf and deaf culture. The '5' is for the '5' hand shape or open palm of the deaf man crying out. The 'why' complements the expression of 'why?' written on his face.
