A homage to Basquiat conducted mainly through the sound metaphor, through the cut-up technique, decontextualized words and phrases, scattered like clusters of sounds, ready to be freed. Words as acoustic images, not referring to any necessary sense. The chopped voice belongs to William S. Burroughs, and was captured while describing the cut-up technique. The sound of the words triggers a series of other noisy sounds. An algorithm read the acoustic spectrum of the speech and translate it in noises clusters, creating a sort of virtual erasing of some words, where these are masked by the noises, causing the blurring of the sign. This enhances the images of the words that are distinctly perceived. The visual artwork is a continuous throb of energy, also a cut-up. A head (the head of the author) distorted by the sound of words and by the algorithmic reinterpretation of the machine. A chaotic, primitive, electric and at the same time organic visual composition.
