¡Cuba Libre!

This piece is aspirational, it embodies my hope that the Cuban people--and all people--will one day be free from the burdens of nationalism incompetent government and all forms of oppression. The energy in this art work remains even as the form of the flag dissipates into the work itself. As a 2nd generation Cuban-American, it pains me to see the suffering that the Cuban people experience on a daily basis. We all deserve freedom, respect and self determination, and it is with those ideals in mind that I title this piece "¡Cuba Libre!"
