Crossing the Bridge

Now is the time between the years. Here in Bavaria, it is known as the “Raunächte” and lasts from Christmas Eve to January 6th. People have always used this time to look back and reflect on the New Year. For our ancestors, these were magical days, the seasons battled against each other, spirits were on the move, people encountered will-o'-the-wisps and were not allowed to wash laundry under any circumstances, as the horsemen of the “Wild Hunt” could get caught in it and later attack people. Frau Perchte, Frau Holle, Wotan and the Wild Hunt now haunt the land. On these nights, the animals can speak and even now people still burn incense in their houses and stables to keep these demons away.

With this in mind, I would like to give this NFT and wish a happy and prosperous New Year. Let's cross the bridge and say goodbye to 2024 and welcome 2025.
